Organic Yoga FoodOrganic Yoga Food
The Bodhi Bar is a premier energy bar that was created by a yoga teacher and a master healer. They created this energy bar as a whole, organic food that increases energy, enhances vitality, and provides vital nutrition.

Bodhi Bars are a combination of whole organic foods and high quality herbal concentrates. They naturally increase the strength of the body. Delicious organic whole grains, stress reducing and energizing herbs such Siberian Ginseng, American Ginseng, Ashwaganda and Yerba Mate are the ingredients of the Bodhi Bar.

Our digestive system transforms food into life energy. One of the bio energetic forces that make this transformation possible is described in Ayurveda as agni, in Chinese Medicine as the vaporizing force of the spleen and stomach and in Naturopathy as digestive strength. This force is the energetic foundation within us that drives our digestion. Stress, poor food choices, worry and overwork diminish our ability to transform food into energy resulting in poor nutrient assimilation and the inefficient transformation of food to life energy. Bodhi Bars are formulated to digest easily and are enhanced with herbs that actually strengthen the digestive process. They actually assist the body's ability to convert food to energy!

Incense SticksIncense Sticks
In order to experience the complete joy of life one should make proper use of all the five senses provided by nature to man. Meditation also aims making use of all the senses to achieve eternal bliss. The sense of smell is one of the five senses that should be used properly. A bad smell can turn a positive environment into a negative environment and vice versa. Today there are hundreds of fragrances with which incense sticks are made. Unfortunately, there is twice as much advice on which fragrance should be used for what purpose. It is often recommended that lavender and jasmine fragrant incenses are the best tools for calming the mind and providing relief from stress. While this may be true in several cases, we strongly believe that each individual has a unique mind-set. Choose the fragrance that has a pleasing and peaceful effect upon you. While selecting an incense stick one should see to it that the incense should not be perfumed with toxic substances.

The incense should not be made using punk sticks. Punk sticks are cheap and in several cases can cause throat and nasal irritation as well as headaches.

Meditation MalaMala Beads or Meditation Mala
Meditation Mala is a tool used to keep the mind on the meditation practice. Malas are generally made from different materials such as tulsi (basil) wood, sandal wood, rudraksh seeds or crystal. Each type of material has certain properties, which subtly affect the subconscious mind of the practitioner.

A mala is a string of 108 beads with one bead as the summit bead called a 'sumeru'.

The mind has the tendency to wander off and get distracted during the meditation practice. Also during meditation one can easily fall asleep. At such times, the mala acts as an anchor and forces the mind to concentrate and keeps it on the right track. The mala beads are moved in rhythm with the breath and the mantra is chanted, so that both-sleep as well as excessive mental distraction are kept away by moving the beads. A personal mala is a wonderful meditation accessory, which when used regularly with a personal mantra, absorbs the vibrations of the practice. It becomes like a close friend or a comfortable piece of jewellery.

The mala is traditionally held in the right hand and used in two ways -

In one method, the mala is hanging between the thumb and the ring (third) finger. The middle (second) finger is used to rotate the mala by one bead towards oneself with each repetition of the mantra.

In the other method, the mala is hanging on the middle finger, with the thumb used to rotate the mala just as explained - one bead at a time.

Either way, the index finger is never used to touch the mala.

The practice begins at the summit bead (sumeru) and continues around the loop until the summit is reached again. The summit bead is never passed over. So if you plan to do more than 1 round, the mala is turned around to proceed again in the reverse direction.

Whenever the mala is taken up, it automatically conditions the mind to the state of meditation. The mala that you use for Mantra Japa meditation should not be exhibited and is best kept privately in a special mala bag.
